Pluto: The Final Frontier?
No longer a planet, but still relevant....
I have another Jeopardy/Pluto anecdote from the day of my taping..... I was sitting in the audience area during the morning practice sessions, waiting for my turn, and a question came up about Pluto. I turned to the fellow sitting next to me and mentioned that many years prior at an astronomy conference I met the man who discovered Pluto. He turned... Read More to me and said "You met Clyde Tombaugh?" This surprised me at first, but then I realized that it was a perfectly normal reply. After all, he was a Jeopardy contestant....
... and a good one, at that. Turned out that if I had won my match, I would have faced him next... and he went on to win 4 times. I think we would have had a good contest.
